I started it a month or two ago, and started asking around what should be reflected on it? What would be on the daily update? What would YOU like to see there?
What would be any difference than right here?

Facebook is for the KIDS! Me, I am real OLD and don’t do the new electronic world! I maybe out of tune but I have a hard time remembering all the passwords! I would rather build and run trains, oh yes and maintain the trackage (a major job).

Facebook is fast becoming more than “just for kids”. More and more businesses and websites are using it to reach a wider audience.
Bob I think your doing a great job. I have a FB account but I spend far more of my computer time here then on FB. I just glance at FB every now and then. Here I spend time read and learn. Of the two I like here way more then FB. But hay I hit the “like” button on FB so I guess were friends now.

I think this page is far better than going to FB.
I don’t do Face Book. FB is advertised too much, to many hackers there I stay away from FB.

I’m not “going” to Facebook. I was asked by a number of members if I was going to have a Facebook presence along with the site, so I put one up. Its not a replacement.

Maybe post a link daily for an interesting topic.
At least that way someone who doesn’t know about LSC might make the effort to find their way here.
With no activity on the FB page, there is little reason for them to investigate further.

I do not have an “OpenBook” account, whoops I meant FaceBook, so it would not do me any good.
LSC is good enough for me. Facebook has it’s place and might be of use to some here on LSC.

I tend to run both at once… but now that I’ve seen there’s a page, I’ll add it to mine. I don’t think I’m old OR young anymore…

I think setting up a facebook account is great. Facebook is the most viewed site in the world. What better way to get people to see the world of large scale as well as this site. For us it is not a big deal because we already know about large scale and this site. Facebook might also get the younger generation into this hobby since they make up a large part of facebook. It is safe as long as you set the privacy settings dont click on links you are not sure about and dont give up info like DOB, physical address ect… Keep your virus settings/security settings updated.
I’m also on Facebook but I don’t use it that much.
I think the Facebook page is a good way to attract people to this site.
Can you set it up so your Recent Posts be downloaded to the Facebook page? That would tell people what’s going on if they would look at this site?
