I know, just the thought sends shivers. But, I have 4 of these and would like them to run really well. I’ve copied the pages from George Schreyer’s website so I’m good to go there. What I’m having trouble with are the plastic wheels. Gary Raymond used to have a “kit” containing 7 sets of metal wheels for this model (pilot truck, trailing truck and tender trucks). Last I communicated with him about these kits was couple of years ago. At the time he had no trailing truck wheels and hadn’t planned on making anymore. These wheels themselves are unique in size. I beleive they’re like 51 inches in dia.? Does anyone like Gary or maybe Dean Lowe make something to replace these?
Thanks in advance.

The wheels from Aristo four axle diesels are a close match in size. If you know anyone who has upgraded old power trucks to the newer ones they may have these in their parts bin.

Thanks Brian. I’m a little surprised to hear that the older aristo wheels were that large. But I’ll check around and see if I can find a pair or two.
Thanks again,
Mike
Mike its not that the wheel is old or new they are all the same size . They are all the same size. Later RJD
