Love crazed or lonely owl

You’ve heard of dogs howling at sirens.
I have a resident Great Horned owl living in some tall firs in my yard. He’s spent the last four or five winters here.
At night when the UP and BNSF across the valley sound their crossing horns, he starts answering with a lot of hooting. After the trains horns fade into the distance, he quiets down until the next train.

Buy him a little engineer’s cap and put him to work as a sound system.

Now, that’s a Hoot!!!

hehe That’s cool.

Magnificient birds.
