Lou's MIK26

OK, I have given youse guys a good enough head start. Time to come up with an idea.
So I went down to the basement and came up with a Shortline Passenger car and an extra MDC Diesel.
I remember old picture of steam trains running on New York City streets, That is my inspiration, so here it goes:

Obligatory napkin drawing on a paper towel.

The engine.

The passenger compartment. Now for a little bit of trimming here, a little bit of forcefit there.

While procrastinating firing up the snowblower, I worked on my MIK project.
A little better fit of the engine inside the passenger car shell.

A better closeup.

I did manage to paint the engine for more contrast.

Oh well, time to get the warm clothes on and see if I can make a dent in the driveway.

Looking good Lou! What are the roof tanks made out of?

They are the plastic tanks that were on top of the engine originally.

Thanks - I didn’t clock that you said it was an MDC diesel. I wasn’t familiar with that brand but now I am. I like the looks of the “Big Hustler” and its’ roof-top tanks.

In remembrance of our one and only Dave “Hollywood” Marconi, I have decided to name this craft after him.

Now Lou, just remind us, it’s hairspray first then the powders?

How you do dat?
20 word minimum.

Normally, I’d just blame Rooster for my LSC source material.

In this case, I just pulled it off the corporate website.

Thanks for asking.

Apologies Lou. I put up the wrong link.
