I think the structure is upside down and the door sill will be where it belongs soon enough.
Today more glue drying, but I did get the sign done. Will mount on the roof.
I wish I’d had a golf pencil with an eraser on it back when I played golf (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)I could a been a contender (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)Good looking sign, Lou.
Remember, the sign came from the side of the road after a Board Of Education election. I cut out the pencil.
Punch list includes finishing the delivery door, roof. and mounting the sign.
OK, here’s a picture of the backside of the Pencil Division:
Those are glass tiles pretending to be windows, and more of the Taylormade blocks around the foundation.
The roof is outside drying, but here is what the customer will see when they drive up:
Ignore the junk yard in the back.
I couldn’t wait, so this is the test of the sign to be mounted on the roof:
We’re getting there. Everything except the glue is pretty much left over stuff from other projects or things found in my stash of stuff I will use someday.
Too many # 1’s here for me to win, great job!!
Bill, remember Rule#1 - Have Fun!
Oh I certainly did, hope you did too, great build, BB
Here’s a shot of the Eraser Division Office on my Mini-Timesaver layout:
The Pencil Division which you can see the end of in the above picture:
Hard for me to take a picture of both with the limited space I have. If the sun cooperates, I will try for an outdoor shot later.
Very nice building and a cool idea.
Stick a fork in it, it’s done.
I can’t find any figures the right scale, they all seem too big.
These were taken in a hurry, it’s cold out there!
Definitely needs people.
Getting ready to go to dinner so “That’s all folks!”
Great job, Lou!
And you might consider adapting your “eraser division” car to a rail cleaner product!
Lou,
This is just plain fun!
Eric
Love that pencil sign
_Lou… W_e usually don’t see these contest very often but, this one really caught our eyes. This is unique all the way. Jane & I are still laughing over this build. Great work.
I should point out that the “Eraser Division” is substantially larger than the “Pencil Division”.
Yeah, this was one of the funner builds I’ve done.
One of the more unique industrial builds, Lou. Really enjoyed watching it come together.
