Lou's 2020 Mik's Challenge Build

I have been chomping at the bit for this ever since I saw this sign on the side of the road during School Board Elections.

Here’s my idea for a Golf Pencil Manufacturing Company. Separate building for the Eraser Division.

I have named all of my created buildings for people I have met. For example, there is BC’s Ice Cream Stand (Bruce Chandler), Golding’s Pretzel Factory (Ric & Jan), and I purchased Brunt Junction. Right now I’m not sure who will get the honor of the Pencil Factory, but a $100 bill in the mail may sway my decision.

Happy Modeling!

Lou, you forgot the most important aspect of the buildings … a chimney (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)I love the inspirational photo. Everyone needs pencils and more importantly for me, an eraser (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)Looking forward to your build.

Kind like making left and right twix facories

Guess you’re not a golfer, Devon.

Not all golf pencils have erasers so we can “correct” our scores.

I golfed a few times. I almost always could shoot an 80 every time I played. Someone once suggested I try playing 18 holes and see how I do.(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

Will my crisp new $1,000.00 bill work? (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

The use of pencils has featured very prominently throughout my life! I just had to look this up, forgive me, Lou…

Thanks, John.

We will be having small buildings that make only short pencils.

How about if I scan and email a $100 bill to you?

Actually, the bill I have in my hand is for $128.76…

I didn’t get my chimney yet, but I admit I cheated and started early…

I Super glued my fingers together in advance.

Lou, Your double set was mailed Monday… the very last set out…

Dave

Hard to type with my fingers glued together.

Sorry, Hollywood, you are going to have to wait for: “Marconi’s Macaroni”.

Got the chimney yesterday and my fingers unglued.

Starting on Ver 2.0:

The pencil division will be a long, skinny building, and the Eraser Division will be an old Baggage Car.

To clarify: The Eraser Division will be a baggage car body from the Bachmann “Short Line Railroad”.

I’m liking the concept.

Progress is very slow. In the shed (45F), I dug out the other political signs that I will use for the sides of the Pencil Manufacturing. I probably can work on the Eraser Division and the chimney after I thaw out. Oh, and a nap after lunch.

Ummmm, I might have a small clue why progress is slow.

Nap, lunch, what are these things you speak of Lou??

I see you have a nice, Rooster approved napkin to use. We have a few we brought home from last trip.

Lookie what I found. A pile of leftover facing stones from a previous challenge.

Along with the Bachman Shortline Baggage Car, a perfect office for the Eraser Division.

Ta Da!
