Lots n lots of babies...angelfish that is

My last mated pair died about 10 years ago, so I really didn’t expect any of this batch to pair off… The two gold ones have been chasing everybody for about a week…but I didn’t think much about it until tonight when they were being especially vicious to the pacu and the other fish when I fed them… basically keeping everybody on the far side of the tank. I looked closer and found about 300 tiny hatchlings on cluster of plastic plant leaves. Unfortunately all of the first clutch usually dies…and it’s especially likely they will get eaten in the community tank… but there is always next time. I took a pic, but since they are only about 1/10" long at the moment, and at the back of the tank, it didn’t come out very good. Note: all those little bright points of light are their tiny eyes…

So that makes you both an Aunt as well as an Uncle!
