looks very much like GM is holding a cocked, loaded pistol at the head of goverment and making an ultimatum. Job retention/creation is a basis of Obama’s rescue package and GM is sticking it in his face. I do not see any executives taking pay cuts to help the company out. Too many fat cats have been sucking the economy dry, squandering the years of plenty. They can suddenly see their jetset lifestyles coming to an end. Any rescue package should include an audit team to weed out the infestation of personal greed in industry.
