Hartland makes some nice inexpensive 4 wheel kits as well
Here is the underside of the Quarry Flats that I build… Keeping it KISS.

Note that the journals on one side are fastened to the support beam, and one support beam is removable so you can put the axels in and or remove them. I body mounted Bachmann couplers directly to the frame. The flat is 6 1/2" long, which scales out to 11ft. in 1:20.3 and only 3 5/8 wide = 6’-2" I can draw up a plan if any one is interested.
Dave,
I would love to have the plans for your ‘Quarry Flat’. I am really impressed at the quality of your shorty gondola kit, that I would like to try this too.
Dave,
I owe you a huge 'Thank You"! You provided me the answer to centering the standard Bachmann couplers after removing them from the truck tang. I love the simplicity of the cotter pin.

Those cars are slick, Dave!
I too would be interested in the plans for the quarry flat if you make them
Great quality in your kits!
Thank you everyone for your help. I got everything I need plus some extras things that I did nopt think of, from everyone. John was hudge help. Thank you.
The only thing Im looking for and I should be set is the plans for the log buggy ( Plan 23 G-scale log buggy Jun 96). If anyone has a copy of these that would be great. I tried searching everyone and cant find any. Sidestreet does not have any more copies.
I’ll look…if they were published in GR I should have them.
Eduted to add: Got’em, I’ll make some copies and send’em up to ya…
Sweet thanks Ken.
Sorry, Shawn. Wouldn’t you know it? Of all those plans I sent, that one is missing. It’s prolly laying in the basement somewhere.
Looks like Ken beat me to it!
I have the plans and was planning to build some someday. I look forward to seeing yours when you build them!
