Looking for Llagas Creek switch stands (and a Harp)

I’m looking for some Llagas Creek Pettibone Mulliken (PM) switch stands. Their product number is PMSSK.

I have a few (five) Llagas turnouts that came assembled with these great switch stands. But my other turnouts (four of them) have Tenmile ground throws.

I was hoping to convert these four turnouts with the PM stands, but can’t find them anywhere. And I need this particular brand to match the PM stands I already have. They really look great, especially with switch lanterns:

Does anyone know if the Llagas Creek Pettibone Mulliken switch stands have been discontinued?

I also have a turnout on the mine section of the layout that currently has a Tenmile ground throw. I think it would look great if it had a Harp style switch stand. This style looks like this:

If this helps any, my Llagas Creek track is 1:20.3 scale. I think these operate a little differently then most switch stands. So I would need one that comes with the various linkages to make it operating.

Does anyone know of an operating Harp switch stand for G scale?

Looks like a dead ringer for a scratchbuild with a hook and loop coupler Matt

Matt,

I had several of them when I owned a house with a garden railway. Have you checked with Gary Broeder (Llagas) whether they are still available?

Our pal Roger has a few on his layout which may be available. I could ask if you want.

Sent a question to Llagas. Awaiting a response. I’ll see if they have a phone number.

Sunset Valley has a switch stand that is very similar.

It is near the bottom of the page.

I’ve got one I’m not using Matt. It’s to big for my 1/29 tastes. Send me a message

I would go with the PNG Harp switch stand. I have 4 of them on my layout. They’re built to handle a 3-way, but work just fine on a 2-way. It’s way more robust then the OM stand. They’re a bit flimsy.

Thanks for the useful info thus far.

The Ozark Harp looks good. Ken, thanks for the heads up on it being more flimsy then the PNG. I suppose I could change the head on the PNG to better match the one in my photo.

The PNG is made of brass. The OM one is white metal with a small rubber washer. If you go to Phil’s website he has a pretty good picture of the Harp stand.

I purchased several of the Llagas Creek Pettibone Mulliken switch stands two years ago from RGSRR Hobies in Ridgway Co. The problem I have found is no one (there dealers) stocks them so they have to be ordered. I use them exclusivly.

I purchased 6 of the PNG switch stand kits a year or so ago and they operate great. As Ken stated, the PNG stands are made of brass and are very sturdy. I ‘weathered’ the stands with gun blue and then painted the targets. The parts have very little flash and everything assembles and operates the first time.
