Looking for CDS dry transfers (D&RGW)

I’m looking for CDS dry tranfer set G-305 (D&RGW Coach & Parlour Car) in 1/24 scale and in Imitation Gold.

Been looking everywhere for this set and can’t find any. I’d even take a partially used set. Just need some numbers and four letter "B"s for a business car. My other cars used this lettering so it would be nice to match.

Any info, please contact me here or my email address: [email protected]

Didn’t Ozark Miniatures buy all the CDS artwork? Check their web site; they may have them in stock again.

Yes. But nothing has been reissued as of yet. And I believe the Ozark sets will be decals only.

I asked them a year or so ago, as the wording on their web site was confusing. They told me they intended to do both. I haven’t checked back in a while, though. Might also check with Woodland Scenics. To my knowledge, they still sell dry transfer lettering sets, with Railroad Roman letters ranging in size from 1/16" to 1/2".

Be careful buying old stock dry transfers…They dry out if not completely sealed. Even if completely sealed they lose their effectiveness over time.

Oh, if you do have old transfers lightly heating the application surface will help bring them back to life…Need to be careful, some “train plastic” warps easy!

Ozark’s web site is quite confusing, I think.

The only Dry transfers I have in G scale or from TRACK ONE, Track side Graphics and Larry Larsen Graphics. and all are in black lettering for the Yellow Reefer cars. The only CDS dry transfers I have are some for SN3 for the D&RGW, I keep them around in case I need small letters and numbers.

Isn’t San Jaun Graphics doing Dry Transfers, or are those water slide decals? They keep coming out with new ones all the time.

If you are referring to San Juan Decals, they have a perfect set…for 1:20.3 scale. And they only make decals. I asked if they would issue the passenger car set in 1/24 (as they have for some other sets), but they told me there are no plans now or in the future to do so.

Microscale also has/had a decal set that could work. Although I don’t think the imitation gold (basically yellow) is available anymore.

But my goal is to match my existing cars which were done with CDS dry transfers. Although it is probably unlikely seeing as I haven’t been able to find any sets available anywhere.

Never Know, I would keep watching Evilbay, never know what will turn up there, Thats where I got all my Dry Transfers. I see decals and dry transfers there all the time.
