Looking for any info...AHM O scale 2 rail from the late 70's

Anyone here know of a good place to find information on old AHM O scale 2 rail stuff they sold way back up to the late 70’s?

Trying to find out more about some of this stuff. I recently recieved an 1970’s old issue of RMC and it had alot of adverts for this stuff that I had all but forgotten about but use to lust after as a kid. Now my curiosity is picked.

I have been on this site before researching the AHM Hon30 line, I find the O stuff sparesly mentioned though. The only pic offered is of an O scale C-liner. I was hoping somewhere there was a site like that one linked that included info on the AHM O scale lineup for issues like catalog, reliability, and repair, I can check Ebay for prices, but Ebay gives no info about reliability, collectability, and things like that.

BTW was any of this stuff any good operationally? they sold them for years yet outside of Ebay I dont recall seeing any for sale at shows.

Victor, I have scanned the 0 Scale pages from my copy of AHM Catalog CA-11D from around 1973/74.

I also scanned the Minitrains page from the catalog.

Victor,

Might get a response from the good folks at the O Gauge forums - http://ogaugerr.infopop.cc/eve/ubb.x

They have a 2-rail section. Hope that helps!

I have quite a bit of this o scale stuff. No nearly as good quality as the Atlas 2 rail that was built about the same time period.

Vic , AHM’s stuff was an attempt to introduce lower priced rtr stuff into O gage market. I agree with Dennis. AHM s drives werent that good. I built their 080 kit and 460 kits both went together well, nice details. On the east coast it shows up frequently at train shows… good bashing fodder…not very collectable. Dave

Thanks, I had a “discussion” with TOC about the operational aspects of these and decided then not going to buy any.
