Looking for a 120:3 0-6-0

Anybody have a 120.3 or NG 0-6-0 steam locomotive for sale! Don’t be shy; speak up.

I think you need to be more specific of your requirements.
LGB make NG 0-6-0 but not in 1:20.3
There aren’t really many 0-6-0 made for 1:20.3 unless you want a British prototype.

Thank you Andrew; I am probably wrong with the #'s. LGB is the size or style I am looking for; not USA; that is not the size that I want!

Ok, so if an LGB do you want German, Austrian, Swiss, French? Does it have to be an 0-6-0 or do you just want 6 drivers?
I have none for sale but I just bought another Corpet Louvet, a neat little French 0-6-0.
Now I just need to find a black one!

Andrew

Isn’t Piko about to deliver a NG 0-6-0 ? Isn’t the Camelback technically and 0-6-0 ?

I think the camel back is standard gauge. But if its going to be a bash, then does it matter?

Heartland has a narrow gauge 2-6-0. With a little effort it could be a 0-6-0. And its 1:24th scale, so its narrow gauge. Remove the pilot truck, upsize the cab, lengthen the stack, and it might work for 1:20.3

Piko also has a 0 6 0 saddle tank and a 0 6 0 w/tender

Thanks to all for this information. I have been trying to find a layman’s guide to LS scales & sizing trying to make sense of it all. I presently have in my collection a Bachmann Anniversary 4-6-0, along with a Bachmann American 4-4-0. Which scale sizing would these models fit under?

Thank’s a lot Boomer for the assistance. That is a nice looking Piko 0-6-0 !

Bill, if you looking for something to run on the Ottawa Valley GRS club railroads during our narrow gauge operations, all the narrow gauge cars are 1:22.5 scale. That is the same scale as the Annie. I assume you may be looking for a switcher as you are the Yardmaster at Ralph. Is that right?

Yes Paul; thats how I was thinking !

William, the Piko may be a good choice then. I couldn’t work out whether you wanted Euro or USA type of engine because of the lack of 0-6-0 models in USA NG. You have two different scaled engines so far. If you wanted to go 1:20.3 you can upscale your Annie with a larger cab and stack then it will be the same scale as your 4-4-0.
As already mentioned a Piko 0-6-0 can be had for a good price and a reasonable puller for switching. It is a standard gauge loco but will re-size easily to the scale you decide on so a safe choice to fit in with what you already have one way or another.

Thank you Andrew along with everybody’s input. I’ve yet to find one for under a couple of hundred yet.

I missed out on a slightly used one a few weeks ago for $67 started at $50. I wasn’t sure what they were worth and left a low bid and lost. Boo hoo!
You have to wait for a dealer to bust up a $300 set and sell the loco separately. I have seen them for $120 new not so long ago. I should have got a new one then as I pay the same high shipping to ship junk as it costs to ship new so I’m not that keen on second hand.
