Nice find.
They use this old Jordan spreader to plow snow (looks like 199254). Not sure if it was used this year. It could have since there was one of those rare large snow storms.
Thanks Matt,
I was searching for a better location to take pictures of the BNSF Dash 9 consist (every 15 minutes) out of Flagstaff and came across this sitting along route 66.

Head east to Winslow and spend a night at La Posada. Its an incredible place, right on the RR (its an old Harvey RR hotel) with lots of action. We stayed there one night this past July. Very cool, worth the trip, even if the only other thing to do in Winslow is stand on the corner.

On the other hand, this is the view from the observation area at La Posada

Like Rick said, every 10-15 minutes something came by. Winslow is a crew change point, so there was lots of action.
The UP’s got one of those spreaders sitting in the yard at Morrill, NE. Hasn’t moved in the last few years, kind of an interesting piece of equipment. I think the faded paint identifies it from coming from the CNW.
Well, I’m already in Phoenix setting up for Eaglewings Open House this weekend and visiting family. Maybe next time Bob?

I’ll have to take a look at that on my way home from SoCal in two weeks
