I suspect a certain surge in interest in Roundhouse live steam products and 16 mm NGM society membership (I, like 4,500 others am a member) will follow its screening. That and you will have to pay astronomical prices for 2nd hand “Silver Lady(s)” on Ebay, for a while, when a glut suddenly appear on the market for some reason. Finally something new on TV worth watching, will be watching tomorrow, thanks for sharing!
…Amazing. I put this up on the forum a week or so ago and no one showed a bit of interest!!..except Mile Weitz…(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

Is there a place to watch a recording of the event since I’m in the US and couldn’t watch it on the tube.

UK Channel 4 have an “on demand” streaming service called All 4. Programs are usually available post screening on TV. I’m not sure if you will be able to stream directly from this service from outside the UK. BBC’s iPlayer site, a similar publicly owned (though funded through licence fee rather than ad’ revenue) service, will only allow UK based users to steam/download programs. All 4 may work the same. A way round this is to use a “proxy” server that makes your device appear to be resident in the UK.
http://www.channel4.com/ Here is the link to the Channel4/All 4 site. You will need to create an account there to view anything. It is possible both your device and account will have to appear to their server as being located in the UK, due to their public ownership and funding structure. Hence the “proxy server” suggestion. Good luck and happy viewing. If the worst comes to the worst just hope Discovery pick it up.

Ya, I didn’t quite understand that either Ross. I love watching train videos. I especially liked the one that was posted not long ago of an annual event of a 2 ft narrow gauge in Scotland.

Thanks. I’ll see if I can watch it tomorrow

Picked this up off the UK “Heritage Railway” magazine FB page. Gives some insight into the the production side of this series. Link at foot of this post
Seems as though the cost of set track could well have been a deal breaker on this till they came up with their own track made from extruded recycled plastic. Clever. Now is it Gauge one or Gauge 0. That loco can be set to both. A lot of UK “live steamers” started with one of Roundhouse’s Lady Anne locos. Bombproof and brilliant service back up.
With regards to apparent lack of interest to the original post - I suppose it comes down to how often and how you view this site. If, like me, you take your cue from the “recent topics” board and only drop by every so often, then it is quite easy to miss things if the whole board has cycled through between visits. So, don’t take it personally (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif). On the UK based G Scale Central site there is a page break, on the recent posts page, to tell you where the last post was made since a previous visit so this sort of thing is less likely to happen there. not a criticism Bob.
