Large Scale Central

Long lease

** 1881 - St. Lawrence and Ottawa Railway is leased to the Canadian Pacific Railway for 999 years.

Well, with 873 years to go on that lease, the line has largely disappeared into the primeval swamp, save for a bit at the north end now running as a nowhere-to-nowhere commuter-rail pilot project, and maybe (I haven’t looked lately) another bit in the middle as an industrial siding.
Sic transit gloria. (Hey, Gloria, the bus broke down!)

Yes Chris, the old Bytown & Prescot is still represented by a spur, running South at Bedell.
It goes South to where Oxford Station once was, and where a giant feed and ferilizer plant now stands.
Canadian Pacific switches out the spur on demand, with mostly covered hopper cars.
It is busiest in the Fall and Spring. Someone suggested that another product that is inbound at Oxford Station, is highway salt, but I’m not sure of that.
The track is still in place from Bedell, North to Kempville, but sees little if any traffic since whatever was there stopped shipping or receiving about 5 years ago or more. Last time I saw anything on the North spur, it was a Sperry Rail car, parked over the weekend about 5 years ago.
