The Blair Brothers operations near Pollock Pines in the Sierra mountains east of Sacramento, pretty good film considering, and great information.

Also, for you that may not have seen it or even know about it, here is a link to Jack Burgess’s docu, about the Yosemite lumber company’s logging inclines. Jack has been modeling the YV for years in HO scale and has written a great book about the operations as well as modeling a fantastic railroad.

Wow very cool film, thanks Rick. The location is right along US RT 50! I drove that road with my little camper as I turned east in Sept 2019 after attending the NGRC in Portland and the Narrow Gauge convention in Sacramento. Even camped near Placerville, visited Tuolumne, went log skidder hunting.

Thanks Eric, I have seen that one before. That river driving must have had it’s moments, pretty clear film considering the age.
