Agreed, Very nice. I had to look up that movie. Definitely going to rent it some time. I’ve always thought that the Russian designs were the most appealing/impressive of the Euro group.

I’d definately check it out, it’s a good movie especially if you’re a fan of animated films. The loco they uesd was a modified MThB EC 3/5 2-6-2T with added tender and smoke deflectors.
Nice work so far Caleb
Looking very good!
I second the out-FREAKING-standing comment. That is just a cool looking design. It is coming out very nice indeed.
“Smashing,” Caleb. “Brilliant,” and all those other Britishisms.

Haha thank you Joe. And thank you everyone else for the feedback. I’ve got a little update, the loco and tender is now painted (cab and tender are still in primer “livery”) but it looks so much better now that everything is one colour.
Great job
That design is really neat and your execution is very nice. It does have the Russian feel to it which is low, wide, rugged, powerful like a bear.
I like how the cab roof continues to the tender and that the tender is really tight to the loco.
Looking really good so far.
That looks terrific Caleb. You did an excellent job.
It is coming together. I felt the same way when mine ended up one color.
Very nice job.
I like it and I’m not even into steam locomotives
I like the choice of a gray for the boiler. Black may be “proper” but on a scale model, it tends to hide the details we put work into installing. Gray is a better choice for seeing the details.
Nice work.
Rooster, not everything has ditch lights and HEP connections.
Well folks it’s all finished! I have decided in keeping with how the loco looks in the movie Anastasia to not put any decals or weathering on it and keep it simple. I’ve converted it to battery RC as well which is also a first time for me.
Overall it’s been a great project and I can’t wait to start building matching coaches, I’ve learned a lot about building models from scratch and will try building more in the future. I also need to find a railroad to run this on since my garden railroad is gone. oh well.
Excellent!
Very well done one of a kind Locomotive. I look forward to the coaches. I’m sure it won’t be hard to convince some one to let you run that jewel on their layout.
Very nice job. Well done
Nice work!
Looking good. You really captured the look and feel of that engine.
You need to find some track to let that baby stretch its legs!
