The design is great, corn and wheat somehow tieing into fuel aspects for a green enviroment.
With the cost of a gallon of gas shooting up over 3.05 this afternoon this just makes me want to scream at the lawmakers even more!!
USE THE FUEL ASPECTS THAT WE HAVE AND PUT FARMERS OUT OF THE POVERTY LEVEL!!!!
We have everything we need to be crude oil free if the lawmakers will just allow it!!

I knew a guy in St. Louis running his Train on solar power. worked great but he only ran a starter loco and about 75 feet of track.
I once new a guy that was totally electrical and steam power free. He pulled his train with a string and backed it with a stick. Basically got run out of the hobby, because it wasn’t prototypical. That and age, he turned 3 and lost the desire. He grew up to start a career in education, developed to a politician and later became a lawmaker in Congress. If he achieves his life’s ambition, he will shut down the United States economy completely, while supporting and defending the rest of the World. He is well on the way to turning the USA into Ethiopia, I mean Utopia.

I know a guy south of St. Louis ( Fruitland, MO) that has a solar pannel hooked to a trikle charger that is hooked to an auto battery and a switcher runs 24-7 on an oval about 10-15 feet long. I think it pulls two or three cars.
I gave Stan a general Idea of what I wanted and he to send me a mock-up. We went through this a couple of times until I was satisfied. It may help if you have a small drawing or such to help with the understanding of what you want.
As far as converting grain to gasoling I don’t think any politicians anywhere in the world will do anything unless the oil companies wish it. After all “what happened to the electric car”- google that out on the internet. I personally believe the oil companies wont be satisfied or let anything else be used until every last drop of oil has been extracted and used. For instance the cost of oil is US$100 a barrell now, but last year Shell Oil made a profit (after tax) year 2007, in Australia of $53billion- that in a country with a population of 23million and they do not have monopoly here.

Rob, we only have one vehicle left that burns gas. Sold or donated everything else about 4 years ago with the exception of my little S-10 Blazer. When I have the extra cash I’ll be picking up a diesel Excursion to replace the Blazer. Right now we burn waste veggie oil in our F-350. We also burn waste motor oil and trans fluid since it’s free. The mileage is good, the performance is good and the cost is better.

I know I have said this before,
Just think of the fellow that works dawn to dusk 7 days a week to make a few bushels of corn per year per achker, I would rather pay him for his efforts than pay someone on the other side of the earth that thinks they have the yankeys by the *@#!'s
Just makes good since to me support the homeland before some one overseas.
And besides, I don’t know about you guys but I’ve been there and depended on the rains for food at the end of the year and trust me it is not fun, when you figure a bushel of corn goes for about 5 bucks on a very good day, ( $3.50 on av.) and you don’t get many from an achker of ground.
But then again that is the reason I do my job, to protect the others in our great country so they may remain free.
