Loco Transport Case Ideas

I was just reading a few posts on another site about home-made cases for locomotives and decided to post links to a couple of my designs to give folks some ideas.

Here is the case for my K-27 that doubles a a maintenance cradle for working on the underside.

Here is the case for my C-19 that is much lighter weight.

Thanks, Bob. I like both of them. Great craftsmanship.

Very nice. I like the K-27 case and it’s ability to work on the loco upside down.

Cool. I have been meaning to build some cases for my more cumbersome locomotives. But the project list is so loooooooong already! :frowning:

Neat cases…

Beautiful work!

Nice work.

Great work, Bob! I have two wooden cases especially made for an engine and a doodlebug, they are both heavy. I have found I can find plastic tool boxes I can pad to haul my engines. They are lighter and stack easily. A couple are dedicated, but some are versatile for carrying different equipment.
