Large Scale Central

Live Steam Atlantic

Hi All,

I am trying to gauge interest in who would like to see a live steam Atlantic 4-4-2 produced. I do not know which roadname it would be. Or what scale. IF you had interest would you want 1:32 or 1:29 and what roadname would you like to see. I am trying to see if there would be enough interest in them to see if maybe someone like Accucraft would want to produce a batch of them.

Thanks,

Brit

Thanks David

No interest in any live steam at this point, but welcome aboard. Some have found it helpful to introduce themselves…

PRR E6 Atlantic in 1:32

Hi Dave,

Absolutely, I know most of these live steam guys from the internet and in person. I am from PA, I belong the PA live steamers. I am pretty deeply involved in the hobby, just completed a semi-scratch built live steam mogul, (it will be debuted at Cabin Fever this weekend) then pics to follow. I have been involved in the hobby for about 9 or 10 years. I am a student at Penn State studying IST. I have somewhere around 12 locos and although I’m not much for machining, both equipment and skill wise I am learning and hope to start doing more.

Thanks,

Brit

Charles,

Yes a 1:32 E6 would be great!

hey Brittany–

It was a pleasure to meet you at York last month!

I have been a lurker mostly on this forum but have been thinking about “your” Atlantic. I think they were the prettiest looking engines ever. Really classy and great proportions. They show off their typically large drivers to good effect and look like they were built for speed.

The Boston and Maine had some nice ones, I don’t know about the Maine Central which was my Local main line around here. I grew up in New Haven country and they had some nice ones too…really speedy looking!

Britt it was great to finally meet you at York last month. I wish I was able to make it down for Cabin fever and run with everyone.

I really like the Atlantic idea. Im more narrow gauge but have thought about getting something on the standard guage end to run at live steam events. The Atlantic has to be my favorite in the standard guage.

Post merge?
