Then we all have been there…
Well not all the excitement is in Tulsa. Just talked to Mrs Boomer and there is a brushfire burning 4 miles West of the house. Small now, less than 10 acres. Brushcrew and helicopters are working it. Hopefully they knock it down over-night. Unlike the fire last spring there are no major roads or natural firebreaks between us and this one.
This is directly upwind of us. No evacuations yet but the kittens are on standby.

Oh, believe me, I had more than my share of bologna and mayonnaise sandwiches in my school lunch, more than enough for a life time. And half the time my mom, who was making lunches for six of us, forgot to peel off that strip of red casing around the bologna slice, so you had to take the sandwich apart and peel it off and put the sandwich back together again. I’m not complaining, but to this day I can’t stand the sight of bologna or mayonnaise for that matter. Ha!
edit: p.s. we weren’t poor by any stretch, it’s just that my mom, other than lasagna and basta ga zugu, should never have prepared lunches or meals.

Fires is 20% contained and is not posing any immediate danger… Hopefully it is done tomorrow.
LSC Drag and Brag Southwest was a washout as nobody but me showed up…I had to eat two dozen Krispy Kreme Donuts and large pepperoni pizza by myself.
I did meet Ted and Pam from Missouri who know Andy and Ric. Nice People.
And for now some pictures…
From the Oklahoma Railway Museum. I have bunch of reference pics from inside and outside of most of these items. I will post them to an album when I get time. Here are few.

Sat down in the lobby to wait for the layout tour bus this morning and started talking to a guy. Turns out it was Jay from your club.
Off to set up for my first clinic. Lots more cool pics from this morning, vendor hall and the contest later tonight.
Thanks for sharing.
