Large Scale Central

Little House-Walnut Grove Buildings

Since Christmas, we’ve no Television “Input” from the outside here in the Nelson house. Not that I’ve got tons of spare time now, but I do understand what Bruce has said about not watching it!

anyways, we’ve picked up some wholesome DVD’s that we (all 6 of us) can watch together. We finished the “Christy” series pretty quick and immediately went for Little House-Season One…

I watch the program and really like the structures used, esp the Ingalls home…I stumbled over these plans online and wanted to share…they appear to be drawn for 1" = 1’…I guess I’ll have to up-scale them to a certain point?

whatcha think?

Nice link. I like both the Ingalls House and Oleson’s Mercantile…

Not Upscale, but DOWNscale them

The posted 1"=1" means 1" = 12", or 1/12 scale, if you wanted these at 1/20 scale you’d have to down scale them to 1" = 20" , the most common way would simply be to reduce the plans down 50% to 1/2" sclae, or 1/2" = 12" or what we commonly know as 1/24 scale.

thanks Vic, see my sig!

Cale,
pretty cool…I enjoy the series myself along with the Waltons as well…and own both on DVD good stuff. Would never have thought to search the structures out on line though! Like Vic stated scale down…thanks for the link.
