Lister Railtruck model?

The gallery photo which came up on the home page just now shows a beautiful little red Lister railtruck model. Who’s is this? Is it scratchbuilt or a kit? I’d never heard of these engines before seeing that pic and decided to do a quick google on it. Very interesting little industrial critters.

Ray:

I haven’t seen the railtruck from the gallery, but I really like these Lister locomotives from I.P. Engineering.

These units can be gauged at either 32mm or 45mm. I want to get one of them for my 32mm (~25" in 1:20) gauge construction RR. I think they look like something a U.S. contractor could have used.

I’ve heard from quite a few of my British friends that I.P. Engineering is a class company, but I don’t yet have any direct experience. They have a number of nominally 1:19 units that could fit into U.S. based RR scenes, especially for construction, industrial and mining operations.

IMO the IP Lister models would be ideal for any small mining operation, US or Brit or European. The tiny Graupner or Robbe single-cylinder diesel putt-putt sound generator is ideal in these small models, and the amount of detail on them is incredible - plus a bit of help from Ozark of course...

They DO look best on 32mm track, or even smaller, if you can wangle the gauge change - easy enough for most of you, I’d wager.
