When I purchased a Lionel Polar Express for my grandkids and wanted more track I ended up scraping the Lionel track and buying New Bright track off Ebay. Much better deals and better availability. There are lots of ads for it. Here is an example.

New Blight track also gives you the option to add turnouts, they crop up on EBay all the time.

PS New Blight track DOES NOT interconnect with Scientific, Eztec,Echo, Lionel or any other plastic track.
