Large Scale Central

Lil bit of Jersey & PA. on the PVRR

Painted up a couple cars after the “swap” with MIk and Shawn. I had a tough time with Shawn’s. The font Stan used has no space between the letters. The right bottom on the “A” is actually below the top left of the “T”. So cutting between the letters was a nightmere. Now I need to come up with some loads for the cars. The KMRR will be piled full of wheel sets. Haven’t decided what the AVRR load will be. Ralph The weeds took over while I was out of town :open_mouth: The weeds will be this weeks job. Hope to have the buildings back out by next weekend.

Very diverse RR…

Cool! Glad you liked them… considering the source, maybe the AV one should be full of manure?

Mik,
The decal swap was a cool idea.
A future planned industry is a scrap yard. I may have enough plastic wheels to fill both cars.
If not, I can put a false bottom in so they appear full.
Ralph

Iffen ya need plastic wheels, I got a couple boxes fulls of’em…

Thanks, Ken. Send a few along.................but not both boxes ;) Maybe enough to fill a gondola. We'll see if I have any luck makin them look rusty. Ralph

Okie-dokie…

Just spray’em with red primer, then mist over’em with flat black…

Great idea Ralph really coming along

Looks great Ralph. It is cool idea having different decals.

Mik I got yours in the mail today. I will try to get some out to you soon.

Zacly ! I cut the axles off some too, to just make wheel stacks. Foreign cars are looking good  EDIT to add Rust photos. Krylon Ruddy Brown Primer base - Spatter coat with Krylon Flat Black…

Krylon Rudy Brown is great stuff for weathering things. You can also throw a little of the camo brown on top.

Ralph,
If I had know you wanted plastic wheels you could have had them when you were here. No fair Ken gets more space cause he unloaded his!

It was all just a coincidence. He had mentioned that he couldn't find the trucks to one of his passenger cars and I offered him some spares that I had laying around. Then this plastic wheel thing came up.............besides, your plastic wheels are too modern.......;)
