Love it, Eric. I particularly like all the little people, but I like everything else too.

Your videos get better each time. Humm… I keep seeing that boat all the time, but don’t see any water. I to like your little people. Do you make them yourself?(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Another great video.
Well you have to imagine the water…Someday maybe a mill pond and waterfall but right now the tide is out at the peir!
Here is what you see…
Here is what I see…If I squint a little!
Yes I did make most of the people…the Hand Car and operator were made By Jez Kirkwook in the UK for a Swap project on the 7/8th scale forum for My near neighbor Steve Lennox. I made the twin of the boat for Jez along with a 1:12 scale (O-gauge) 4 wheel estate style wagon.
So cool Eric, I also have a love of ships. boats. Done many double plank on frame. Its just fun to model.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Ron you need to build a live steam boat. Someone gave me a kit for one. I have to put it together still but looking forward to getting it running.

Here is what I see when I go to Alma NB Canada!
Ok, I have a stupid question. On a sailing ship such as that, would the sails be unfurled like that when she at at dock/pier?

Yeah, it could happen, especially if they had just done the laundry.
Its rare, but it could happen.
Great video! Have a close up of your switch stand? Is that a model of a prototype? You really got that engine to have a nice slow consistent cadence in that scene at 6:16. Impressive.
Steve, that is why I had to ask. I didn’t know, but I knew someone would.
Some times the sailors would hoist the sails at the dock to dry them. They were cotton and subject to mildew and rot. There is a photo of a ship built here in town with her sails set while still on the building ways. It had rained the night before and the ship was fully ready to sail after her launch.

Hehe, That sounds like a good plan BUT… Yesterday I was running my live steam kit Max. which you know is mostly wood. Well after about nine times around the layout it caught FIRE… Not to badly burnt, it still looks good if you don’t look to close.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cry.gif) So spending all that time making a wooden boat then seeing it ablaze, Well it just don’t(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif) seem right. Fire and wood belong in the stove !.. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
