LGB sumpter Valley redo part 2

Some time ago I acquired an LGB Sumpter Valley Mallet. It was a good runner but never fit in with my 1:20 equipment. I got a wild hare one day and made a new cab for it. It was ok at best but it looked a tad bit better and I went with it. About a year or so ago it made the trek down the basement stairs on it’s own… That prompted two things 1: a storage yard in my barn that i can run straight into and 2: finally getting around to redoing the mallet. I never took pics of the loco in numerous pieces on the floor, but here is one of it with it’s redone cab;

Here she is under reconstruction:

The front end took heavy damage. So, I decided to make it a lil shorter by being a 0-6-6-2. This I hope will make it a bit more proportional for 1:20. I was also thinking of pinning the back set of trucks in place. More to come. Terry

Hmmm not sure why that pic is that way but you get the idea…

Looks to me like it got interrupted while being uploaded to your server. Try uploading it again.

Yes, please re-upload. I’d like to see the “before” appearance. This will be an interesting thread.

The picture is flawed in photobucket and sadly I don’t have the original anymore.
