I have a spare LGB 65001 Early American Steam sound module
that I have been thinking about installing in the tender of one of my Bacnmann Spectrum Moguls.
Does anyone see any reason why this should not work?

Timmy ,
When I have used those (frequently) they connect into an LGB Decoder .I have used one in a non LGB job , a Diesel --so no sound synch–and I seem to recall it just connected in according to either the instructions or normal dc practise . If you get stuck , put a picture of the plug end of the connectors up as well .

I have them in 4 of my LGB moguls. I have never plugged them into a decoder. They just wire up to the track contacts in side the tender. I am guessing there should be no issue doing the same with the Bachmann stuff.
Ah , yes , I see which one you have . Yes , it should not be a problem doing what you said . One thing you can be happy with , the thing is designed to work on anything from 3-20 volts , so you shouldn’t cause any damamge with wrong connections . Unless you put a dead short on something , which is easy done by even us clever buggers .
Mike
It works!

It was a little tougher getting the module, trigger and stationary sound capacitor in the tender but I did it.
I bet you’re really chuffed about that , aren’t you ?
Quite right , too .
