LGB Repair time!

Oh my good man if innuendo were banned, you would be rendered speechless! Märklin didn't have any problem taking LGBoA's money in 2007. No body in any business gets anywhere asking for payment in advance of intended production. Not and survive!

The real problem may be that Märklin is short of capital, plenty of rumors of that in Europe as well!

It is quite amusing (not amazing) how you confuse a general outline of business practices with innuendo. Looks to me like you haven’t learned the ropes in the same industries that I did and still do. But that’s OK, no skin off my nose.

From what I read Märklin got another “injection”; according to Axel Dietz something to do with completion of restructuring, but hey what would he know, right!?! Wouldn’t be the same “sunny outlook” that the Richters had at the 125th, would it? Of course there is one major difference: the financial backers!
“Somewhere” there was mention of a major QC offensive in Györ, that will be a good thing! And if they implement the same in China that will be even better.
BTW you better hurry and get one of those Gbk-v cars with the upside down RhB logo, real Kollektors’s items they will be!

If I were short of capital I would be selling to anyone able to deliver COD.
It hardly seems a viable plan to shut out a major market on your road to recapitalization.
Lots of speculation from everywhere.
It would be nice if Marklin would produce some kind of plan for N.American sales.
Ralph

Ralph,

Have you noticed that

a) the announcement that there was no agreement arrived at was only issued by LGBoA, not a word from Märklin

b) that LGBoA transferred all the distribution of the remaining lines to Silvergate Distributors

What are the chances the LGB®Märklin has a very solid plan for NA? IMHO very good!
In the meantime they get production up to the volume and quality it needs to be, sell the “stuff” to the distributors who are as ready to deal with LGB® on the “customary basis” as Märklin is. Special deals and considerations for “The Boys” in San Diego? Why should they, no pressing need!

Here in N.America I believe Marklin already has a relationship with Walthers.
You would think we would be seeing some products.

Speaking of business. You've been pimping Train Line switches pretty hard or is it Train-line? Who makes them? Where are they made? Do you have an financial interest in the product?

Once you buy something, you have “a financial interest”.

Just keep on poking, don’t you?
Just wait until next week, Jack!

Jack,

You are an absolute marvel, it isn’t often that one misreads the reporting of real life experiences as “pimping”. You really need to get a life and start reading something besides the limited selection you seem to at the moment. You just might learn a thing or two about what’s going on outside your confined orbit. Mind you, orbiting is a motion that suits a Ventilator; it’s a bit more encompassing than just spinning but not too far off the usual.
Who makes them? Are you telling me that you missed the link to “The Source” in one of my posts? It can’t be possible, you who never misses any of my posts? Or was it a matter of reading and not quite comprehending? Seems to be a virus with some people!
Kind of surprising, haven’t you been around the schools for long enough for “things” to rub off?

All we got was a link to a store selling them. Nice dodge to the question though!

You may not believe it, he's the guy who produces them/has them produced and he sure beat PIKO to the punch. Of course you would know that if you were up to speed on what's going on in the European LS industry, OTOH you've proven many times that you're not, once more won't hurt. ;) :) ;)

BTW I don’t know Meik Schröder, have never bought anything from him … but … I gladly pass on information concerning alternatives. Having alternatives is - at least to some of us - more important than the intricacies of EPL plastic wheels. :stuck_out_tongue:

Getting back to the LGBoA repair times, if you ask me it augurs “well” (not) for the service one may expect from the people at Silvergate who propose to fix and fit anything to anything. Oh yeah, I’m sure Bryan and some others can hardly wait for their “service”.
“Different name, same people, same excellent service!” Yep, let’s wait for next week!

PS Let’s see when they’ll finally tell JC that he’s out of luck.

As always the funny man! It’s a wonder that your Swiss “Li” buddies haven’t challenged him over the name. I rarely post anything from Europe, wouldn’t want to trample on your Royal territory.

You may be in better touch with Silvergate, but I haven’t heard anything but “FIT”. Years and years of great service, but a few problems during a period of transition and your needle gets stuck in a grove.

At least the QC at kingsbridge will be entertaining!

Jack,

You need to do a bit more reading to find out how the train.li moniker originated. Anyone who is medium Internet savvy knows that the “*.li” url designates a domain in Liechtenstein. Simple, isn’t it?

“Stephan Flück expands his line of
turnouts.
And what does Flück deliver? a clean hand-made and solid Swiss mechanism.”
© Gartenbahn Profi

Good ole Liechenstein! “Blacklisted in 2000 as a center for money laundering, Liechtenstein toughened its laws and made major efforts to clean up its financial practices. In 2002, the country was removed from the OECD’s (Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development) blacklist.”

Well Jack,

I know you just can’t help it, you are as inept as your buddy Marvin. I didn’t write that Flück is in Liechenstein, but his website domain is located in Liechtenstein, his real brick and mortar shop is in Rothrist, AG Switzerland. Hey, you could even GoogleEarth it. :stuck_out_tongue:

PS Stefan Flück makes some nice turnouts, too. They are available through http://www.train-li-usa.com/

If I paid $185.00, $275.00 or $325.00 for a G guage switch I certainly feel like I’d been Flücked!

Marvin,

In case you don’t know, there’s a difference between “nice” and “cheap”.

Now that is really a huge circle to get back to the fact that they are Swiss! :D

Not really, just making sure you comprehend! (finally!)

Unfortunately not everyone is as well off as you- things are a bit touogh dollar wise these days. Seriously doubt many folks can afford to shell out major bucks for a switch. From what I’ve seen most will settle for " nice and cheap". :):););):)

Marvin and comprehension.

Now there is an oxymoron if ever I have heard one.

WOW! I must say, Train-Li is certainly proud of their stuff!
