LGB parts ?

Having checked many sources, anyone found supply of:

0-6-0 Diesel switcher side rods?
0-4-0 #2017 “LGB” steamer’s electrical (red and blk.) electrical plugs for loco to tender connection? Small plastic plugs with single screw to connect bare wire.

Thanks,
Wendell

Did you try BridgeMasters? They bought up a bunch of the LGB stuff.

Todd-
Thanks. Good suggestion.

Wendell try this for the plugs

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HO-Marklin-Banana-Plug-Set-of-10-Blue-New-/170977154736

Train-li has the red and black plugs and sockets for wires.

And they make custom cables for customers such as red and black plugs on one end and the other end the newer dual pin connector.

SO, a cable can be made to get the 2010/2020 or old korean porter to connect to the newer connector which by the way is a 100 mil pin spacing and the 2 pin connectors in old computers is a perfect fit!!

Thanks for the help.
I ordered the plugs.
Now, to see if BridgeMasters has a pair of side rods for the 0-6-0 diesel.

Train-Li has the 2062 3 axle american diesel ( a gasoline engine named Davenport) side rods aviable. part number 70502-M026 and this comes with the screws and washers

Source for the micro banana plugs:
Peter Staehle - owner of GPS97 TRAINS LLC
402 Holly Terrace Ct.
Ballwin, MO 63011-2427

He sells on E-BAY using GPS_97 as his address.
The plugs come per packet - under the label on the package as Querloch blau Art. Nr: 08896 (Hans? Translation?). Using E-Bay GPS_97, search for Marklin Banana Plugs.
His company focuses on HO products. The micro plugs are used consistently by LGB to electrically connect cars to the back of the tender and, with the Stainz-type locos, attach the powered tender to the loco.
Shipping was prompt.
The cost: $4.00 for one package of ten plugs - the other package had 8. Perhaps a hurried counting – no matter as the price was very fair and there was NO shipping charge.

Side Rod Saga:
After a non-productive search, the build-it-yourself took over.
Using a strip of aluminum (Home Depot), I measured and drilled three holes, shaped the plate, gave it a polish, and now the LGB 0-6-0 diesel has side rods. There is little chance of breakage.

Pictures, it didn’t happen with no pictures.

David-

I am willing to comply with a picture request!
HOWEVER, there is no indication on the LSC Home Page on how to send photos. If it is there, I have not found it. A step-by-step statement for those with a MAC and/or Windows system would be helpful.
If you would kindly give a sequential steps explanation – great!
My IBM system, like many others, uses Windows Seven.

Thanks,
Wendell

Wendell, it has been explained a few times. The most important, and most overlooked, step is the picture has to be online somewhere. On an LSC album, or freight shead, on flicker, somewhere online.

When you have the picture on screen, online, you right click the picture, select properties, then highlight the URL. That is the thing that starts with http and ends with .jpg. Then select copy.

Then, here in the thread, in the reply box, there is an icon that looks like a tree with a blue background. click that, and paste the URL into the box next to “Image URL” inb the pop up dialog box. Then click the insert button at the bottom left of that pop up dialog box, and your picture is inserted into the reply box.

Clear as mud?

David-
Thanks for the input on photo contributions.
I’ll take a pix after Thanksgiving holiday is over.
My wish for set instructions appears to have merit: Place on the home page a
HOW -TO sequence for those like myself who lack experience and still want to enter photos.
