LGB Mogul Tender's Circuit Board

Hi Folks - Anyone have any of the 6-pin tender circuit boards for LGB Mogul locomotives they’d like to part with for a reasonable price? They’re the green board that’s held by three screws on the bottom of the tender. The cable from the locomotive plugs into it.

Thanks

Tom

Tom,

I have an old LGB tender in fairly good shape. It’s a spare for one of my future projects. It has some circuit boards in it (which I have no use for) - not sure it they are what you are looking for? See attached pics. Message me if you want them.

Hi Pete - Thanks for a very generous offer. I need a 6-pin tender board. I see the green tender you have is from an LGB 2018D Mogul and I know that they have a 3-pin board. I can’t see what board the black tender has in it, not sure even if it’s an LGB tender. But if it is LGB and does have a 6-pin board in it, I could use it. On Mogul tenders, there are three screws under the tender that hold the board in place. I only need the board so if there are any wires/cables soldered to, I don’t need them. You could just cut the wires off the board if there are any wires soldered onto it.

If it is a 6-pin board, do you also have any LGB locomotive six-wire cables with plug that are used to connect to an LGB tender? If you have any that you don’t need, I can certainly use those too.

You must be running battery power and don’t need or use LGB loco - tender cable connections?

Tom

Tom,

I know nothing about LGB tenders, and yes, although mine has 3 screws and 6 solder points, it is only 3 pins. I had to unscrew it to be sure! (See attached pic.)

The black tender is a brass Accucraft C-16 type off my C-19 live steamer. I put it there for size comparison.

When I am not using live steam I use battery, and the tiny tenders on the Bachmann 4-4-0/2-6-0 are not my idea of spacious. So I used an old Aristo C-16 tender body on my last conversion (pic attached.) This green one is for the next time I need a big spacious tender.

Try this guy on EBay he is showing a lot on mogul parts ilovetobuy2014

Thanks, Bill, but he’s not selling any of the LGB Mogul tenders’ green circuit boards, just the entire tender.

I did buy a 6-pin board from a hobbyist friend of mine in NYC, so I’ve got what I need for now. I’ll order some more from one of my German parts suppliers once the DHL Germany shipping services resume.
