I just disassembled the LGB Mogul to replace the gearbox and the wiring is different between the two! The replacement says it is part 65019 and is a “Mogul Type Gearbox.” There is no instructions but it says it is for Kitbashing and Scratchbuilding." The replacement has a plug and the one in the Mogul has wiring that is soldered and goes to two different places. Any thoughts?
I’m making some progress. I did find the front was a plug but I still have rear wiring with no place to go. Could it have been snipped off when the RC/battery was installed?
Who did the radio/battery?
What brand?
The original Moguls had 3 pins at the back of the motor “hump”, sticking straight up.
One pin was one rail and one motor lead.
They finally listened and made it a 4-wire unit.
Outer pins are motor, inner are track on the 4-wire block.
It is a four wire plug but the new motor block from LGB also has a second plug. The radiocontrol/battery was done by Mike in San Diego, it’s an Instant RC unit.
Ah, yes.
The second plug, is it loose wires with a 3 pin on the end?
Chuff.
Comes up through a squarish hole near the third driver?
