Large Scale Central

LGB, Maerklin, etcetera...

So…I looked through the forums, and unless it’s in another thread, didn’t see it jump out at me.

Maerklin has yet to announce in a press release who the new distributor is since they finally bounced Walthers out.

But…it’s out there already:

Heartland Hobby Wholesale
6929 Seward Avenue
Lincoln, NE
68507
(402) 464-6456

http://www.hhwonline.com/

We are please to announce that HHW has been selected# to distribute Marklin, LGB and Trix.# Please watch for further details!

HJ also posted about this. What kind of pricing they end up with next is going to determine whether they can reassert themselves as a US brand or remain an expensive German wallflower.

Hello Dave!

If HHW is now the distributor for Marklin, that strongly indicates LGB has now separated from Marklin. Have you any insight you are comfortable sharing regarding any role of Ron Gibson now has with LGB? Considering the previous long history of Ron with LGB and my understanding of his prior association with Marklin, no one could be better than Ron to shape LGB’s future in the American train market.

Wendell,

Did you read the announcement on their website? They will distribute Märklin from Z to #1 scale, LGB and Trix - they do N scale and HO two rail DC. In short they’ll distribute all the makes that fly under the Märklin flag, including what some of us call “MLGB”.

The whole shebang is owned be the Siebers who also own the Simba Dickie Group.
