Lgb locos cutting out on turnout

My small layout has had only LGB turnouts, and so far they have been excellent–generally reliable and everything goes through fine.

Recently I bought some Aristo wide radius stainless turnouts for a track expansion. I installed one this weekend. All my motley and unstandardized rolling stock backs through the switch ok, but I have three LGB locos which cut out as they go over the aristo switch. These are all small locos–two 0-4-0s and an 0-6-0

I have not made any modifications to the turnout, but I know this is a common problem. Should I modify the turnout, or is this a case where I need to modify the power pickup shoes?

I have a USA trains 44 tonner that makes it through the Aristo turnout with no problem

I don’t think I have ever seen a satisfactory solution to that problem. The short wheelbase and the sprung slider pick ups will throw you fits. A few things you can try are
-running a car with an extra power pick up behind the loco
-adding some weight to the loco
-removing the sliders
-doubleheading
-deepening the flangeway on the frog a bit (I do that on all mine before installing)

Or just speed up!
