LGB-Little Engines

Recently I have acquired a LGB Saddle Tank Porter and an Americanized 0-4-0 (starter loco)…the Porter has been repainted and LGB l&p couplers installed…the other is stock “Green”-…

so what have you done to yours?

Tenders?..I plan on building each a tender for the Batteries and EVO Gear.

Cale, built a few years ago and no longer in my possession.

I have two. One will be given a new wooden cab, backhead, and other details plus a small tender. The whole thing will be repainted and heavily weathered to represent a mining loco.

The second one will receive similar treatment but will receive a newer looking paint job and will be used to pull a short train of open air excursion cars.

If I could get two more, I would like to kitbash them into a little articulated loco.

Vic, I like the one that’s third up from the bottom. The valve gear is interesting, got any more pics of the gear?

Looking good guys. Somewhere way down the list of my “I’d like to build this” list is EBT’s 3rd #2. It was an 0-4-0-T built by ALCO in 1916. “Dinkey” was the smallest engine ever owned by the EBT with the appropriate name. It left the railroad in 1935.

Mik did a nice job making one of those Lake George and Boulder engines look more American. I made a few slight modifications to one and I think I should take another crack at it

I just lowered the dome and changed the stack and the headlight, a few other little things I made it for my daughter By the way, the LGB powered tender–shown in the picture above–is a great addition to these little locos and makes them into legit pullers. She and her friends can add cars and load stuff in the gondolas and it just keeps going

Hi Ray, its a standard LGB Stainz model, I just redid the cabwork and repainted the siderods red, sorry no other pics on file other than this second shot.

Too cool Vic
