Probably the last sale item for a while…Going on ebay Saturday morning. Discounted here as I avoid fee’s and the like. This is a lightly run unit. Note: The board platform behind the plow has a break that was repaired with JB Weld. It is really not noticable and has held securely for years (see pic). Also the “Bear Trap” does not hold tightly to the stack, I do not know why. I have cushioned the stack for a tight fit but is completely reversable to the “bare” stack. Also, a note on running…runs super smooth but I note a slight hesitation when it crosses the frog on an LGB R1 switch. The pick-ups appear to be spaced just right to briefly “miss” the rail. Asking $250. I will also offer the buyer the opportunity to pick up a lighted yellow C&S 2-axle caboose, Black C&S flat car, and a black C&S high side gondola for an additional $100. I can send more pics if you want them. Flat does not have stakes. Caboose has metal wheels. $25.00 to ship all.

I have that very same engine and it is a beauty. The stack on mine does the same thing, it is just a press fit to begin with. Every once in awhile it comes off the back stretch of track without the bear trap and usually a low branch or leaf has pulled it off. Not the best idea LGB had.
$250 is a very good price for this engine you should have no trouble selling it.

Thanks Todd, This one’s a little tough to part with but I need to get serious about trimming down the amount of “stuff” I have. I also want to fund the purchase of some Accucraft / AMS passenger cars. I wanted to run it by here first, though I don’t know anyone on the forum personally I know them better than some ebay buyer! :slight_smile:

I think the “Bear Trap” was designed for the Mogul stack and they just tacked it on here. And while I am obviously opinionated on this sale, $350.00 for all is a very fair price.

I will sell the cars separately for $115.00 shipped.

I also have a few LGB grain hoppers left going on ebay Saturday too.

I have a few LGB grain hoppers left. A BN and GN in excellent condition, and a second GN with 2 broken “steps” and one incorrect length coupler (center truck piece that the “loop” screws to). All have original boxes.

I sold several with SanVal nickel plate wheels at $72.00ea (ebay). I would drop to $66.00 here on LSC and $50.00ea if someone wanted the LGB plastic wheels back on. Plus shipping.

I also have one 50’ Santa Fe Box Car left…Same as above.
