LGB Barber roller bearing trucks needed

I need 1 pair of the Barber roller bearing trucks made by LGB. Fixing a box car for my friend and cant seem to find a pair anywhere. No wheels needed but ok if they come with the trucks. Thanks. Mike

Mike, I will be changing out the trucks on an LGB boxcar. Roller bearing trucks are not (to me) appropriate for a boxcar with roof-walks and full height ladders. PM me and we can hammer out the details.

I just think the LGB boxcars look better with Aristo bettendorf trucks under them.

If the LGB bearing caps rotated, and the cars didn’t have full height ladders and roof-walks, then they would be fine.

Agree, roofwalks and friction bearing trucks go together. His was a modern 50 foot box car, but someone had put LGB Arch bar trucks on it. The price was good so he bought it and now it has more correct looking trucks for it. And on a ground level line, you cant hardly tell they dont rotate anyways.

Arch bar trucks under a 50 foot modern boxcar, oh the horror, the sacrilege! Well, I am glad we were able to work that out.

I understand buying something because the price was right. In fact, thats why I am trying to avoid the Dash.com/Trainz.com auctions. I have bought way too much stuff I don’t need, because they had “give away” prices on the stuff.

While I do not have the LGB trucks you need, I need a few 1:32 truck frames. Either Benttendorf or Archbar. 52.38 mm on wheel centers. I have a number of 1:29 truck frames some with metal wheels, some without, some have knuckle couplers and others loop and hook. Will trade one for one. Do not need wheels of any type nor couplers. I will make up sets according to your needs and items I have on hand.
