This is a good question for Greg… What scale is this caboose? Seems like LGB is all over the board.

Suitable for “G” Gauge.
Steve…my thoughts exactly!
Except for the Euro models, (And even then, with exceptions) LGB pulled their tooling right out of the air for US model scaling.
After all, they considered them toys, not scale models.
Take for example, the little #50 NG switcher.
Another 1/2 inch or so wider and longer, it would be 1:20.3, like the prototype.
Go figure…
Dunno if I am the “right” Greg, but I have seen and fondled one of these (no wisecracks ha ha!).
Looks a little large in all dimensions, but the most noticeable was length to me. I was comparing to 1:29.

hopefully your ears were not burning. I just figured you might have tried to scale that one out. I have a string of bachmann 3 bay hoppers and am looking for an appropriate modern caboose that does not dominate the cars, since they appear to my eyes to be a bit on the small size for 1:29

I would look at the Aristo or USAT cabooses… one is metal sided, the other wood sided. The metal sided Aristo might be the ticket, the wood sided USAT is maybe too old for your 3 bay hoppers. Everything else is BIG…

are you looking specifly for ATSF?
No not really looking for Santa Fe, I actually model BN and pre-BN and am a diehard McCloud River Railroad fan
