LGB 4 wheel electric locomotive

Anybody know if there are any after market replacement handrails for the LGB 21300 , 22300 , type , small 4 wheel electric locos ? The factory handrails leave a lot to be desired , brass or metal would be better it seems . Thanks the little 4 wheel electric locos like this one …

I hate to be picky , but even though I “collect” LGB , I haven’t the faintest idea of which locos you are talking about .
My loco boxes are hidden away , so the reference to them by number is not readily accessible .
Unfortunately , a lot of people keep referring to locos on these sort of sites by the box number . If you need help , surely you should give all the info that you are able ?. In the case of the 0-4-0 , I can think offhand of eight different ones that I have propping up piles of dust on my shelves .
Just trying to help .

Sorry Mike , I myself really dislike them being refered to as numbers , I do not know the model numbers , usually .
I added a pic to the first post , thank you .

Dennis ,
That is one colour scheme I have not seen , it certainly looks nice . And I can now see why you would want the proper replacement handrails .
What I have doen with my stuff when it’s broken , especially handrails , is to get hold of the fairly readily available handrail knobs from O guage suppliers , they work OK for me .
With tegard to genuine LGB replacements , I would approach LGB either via LGBoA or direct in Germany . I have had the odd bits and pieces from LGB directly , they are generally pretty helpful . If you send a photo with the missing items highlighted , it helps . Difficult if they are missing , but I think you get the idea . If you get completely stuck , let me know ,and I will try to obtain some . I take it that you want the door handrails ?
Mike

ps , I didn’t even think of this loco . I have a couple , too . Old and stoopid , me .

Dennis,

I doubt that there are after-market handrails, in Germany they usually concentrate on serving the steamer fraternity. Did you check K&S for brasswire?

Thanks , I can easily obtain the brass wire here locally , the turned brass knob fittings though …?
.I will try to look at the o gauge fittings locally , and maybe a large scale mfr will have something , Ozark doesn’t , I looked . I do not want the LGB handrails replacements from LGB .
Thanks again , I thought it would be a long shot that metal replacements were on the market .

Dennis,
Try Track Side Details at www.tracksidedetails.com for the knobs, they also have handrail stantions that you may be able to use or bash.
Good Luck,
Ron

Hi, I happen to have a picture of the Track Side details stanchions at hand.

Used it for the Metall Blackening Threat at MLS a few days again. http://mylargescale.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=42633 You can find more about the blackening theme here: http://www.largescalecentral.com/LSCForums/viewtopic.php?id=6667 Have Fun Juergen Zirner
