LGB 2080 and 2063, both converted to battery

Going over to just live steam locomotion only. Need to raise funds for a Regner engine or swap for one. I have 2 LGB engines, both converted to onboard battery, a 2080d Harz 2-6-2T and the 2063 DRGW #50 diesel. Both have Locolinc recievers in them with thier own transmitters. The 2080 has a big 5500mah Tenergy LiIon battery and the 2063 has a 2200mah Cordless Renovations LiIon battery. I have one smart charger that can charge either engine. Looking for a Regner easy line geared engine, 32mm gauge track ect. . Cash prices would be around $350 for the 2080d and $275for the 2063. Charger will go with the first engine sold. I also have a couple extra Locolinc receivers I can throw in. Prices are not set in stone, always open to offers or trades. Thanks Mike

Updated the ad and once again, open to offers. Looking for my own(actualy owned by me, not on loan from my friend)live steam engine. Regner easy line geared engines do best on my railway. Love the Willi, Vincent, Lumberjack and Fanny. but open to any of the easy line geared engines. I had a Willi and it really fit the small compact railway I have. Thanks in advance. Mike

Does the harz have sound? Thinking again about selling trading my Mimi -2-4-2 w/tender?

No sound, just a standard 2080d. The 2080s is the sound version. There is room for sound in the boiler area if someone else wanted to tackle that fun job. With this huge battery it runs forever it seems. I run out of juice long before the train does! And I would be intersted in the Mimi. Both LGB engines have thier original boxes and I kept all the pieces I removed to convert them to battery, so they can be converted back to track power.

Mike, thanks, unfortunate I jumped in to soon. We are traveling won’t be back to base until late Sept. If you have no offers by then will get Mimi out for you to look at.
I decided against live steam, so after about 2 hrs running lubed everything, set her on the display shelf, she is a beauty.

Im in no huge rush Bill, have a safe trip and we can talk in late September. I am deep into the early fall antique tractor shows and keeping my 2 garden tractors in top shape for shows. I would also be interested in one of the Corgi/Basset Lowke 2-6-0 live steamer (O gauge) or other UK style live steam. I have both G scale and O scale layouts. Mike

The 2063 is sold, along with the charger, the 2080d is now on ebay. The charger is easily sourced thru Silver State Trains for $25 for those that might take an interest in the 2080. The battery is a 6600mah battery, I was getting its rated confused with my RC car batteries that are 5500mah. Either way, it runs way longer than I have the need to run it. SO she is a good long duration running model with that huge battery in her. Thanks again. Mike

We are finally home to Texas after 3 cool Mos. in Colarado. iThe 2063 is sold, assumption the other also. Thus Miss Mimi (accucraft 2-4-2 with tender) will continue to rest.
Best of luck to U.

That’s a nice looking loco Bill, always thought that would be a great started in the live steam world. I am afraid to ask as I should not be investing in more G scale lol but what would you sell it for if you decided to sell it?

Will ask MIMI, looked at the comps, amazed, I have made $ on something like this?
MiMi is my wife, she wanted to trade it for something for the great Grand kids (boys) rooms.
Sell does not enter her mind.
Will have to struggle with this thought, with her.
Thanks, Bill

I still have the 2080d, yes the 2063 and the charger are sold. Charger is only 24.95 at silver state trains. Mike

Aaron, thanks, do not pay close attention to value of this engine or m.uch of anything else G gage. G is my 4th hobby being retired & broke.
Called local rivet counter, his guess, value is around $600. If that thought strikes U get back to me ([email protected]).

Mike, looking for 0-4-0 2080d little complicated for 5 year old. Thanks Bill

No problem Bill, I am open to a few Lionel items for trades towards the 2080d. Looking for really clean postwar Lionel engines, 2333/2343 Santa Fe F3’s, 681 Turbine, 675 2-6-4, ZW transformer ect. Getting back to work on my indoor layout but lacking funds, horse trading is my only option. Mike
