I reciently bought a LGB 2018D steamer.It is in beautiful condition and runs well.The only problem is many of the add on accessories are loose. For example the hand rail supports are loose. .These are not broken.It seems either the glue dried out or they were never glued.Also the sand and steam domes are loose as well as the fencing around the wood pile and water fill cap on the tender.I have a few other LGB engines and all items are secure.What is a good glue to use since I don’t want anything falling off when running.
I use quik grip, available at Wal-Mart, Joanne Fabrics.
I like this glue as after it dries it acts like a post-it and peels off many surfaces, but does sticl to LGB plastic.
And the older LGB engines did have glue that dries and parts came loose.
