Richard,
Thank you for the information.

Been tinkering now and again with repainting and redetailing Bachmann’s Big Hauler V&T over several years. Pic is on Mike’s layout, I don’t have one.

Same for the PRR one, paint and details, including battery powered marker lamps. Cab awning idea came from a PRR subsidiary’s 2-8-0 in Model Railroader’s Steam Locomotive Cyclopedia book.
HLW 4-4-0 also getting dressed to my liking
And then we also have the every now and then progress with a couple HLW Sparky locos. Here’s light testing in one, Uhh, wait a minute, that’s the Mack! NOT the Sparky. (guess I’ll come back later with a couple pics of the Sparkies)
The steamers are all getting that hinged plate between cab and tender

You are a fantastic modeler!
I saw a picture posted by our leader of a BNSF SD40 (ish??)
I just got another BNSF Dash 8 in H2 paint.

David M, I was just playing around with you.
David R, that scratch built Amtrak is a F40 somethin’? Very nice!
I need to make one to pull my train, or I’ll have to get the pepsi can dash 8.
Joe,
You have the Ralph Brown F40 shell and at 1:32 will do you quite nicely with what you have in your livery. My stuff is to big for your scale. However Matt Doti is the counsel on Amtrak 1:1. The SOB rides my back all the time when I was in the heat of modeling it and needs to ride someone else’s for a while ! Matt can make you an Amtrak Jedi Master . You will know it when it flows through you.

Boss, I sometimes need that type of guidance to motivate me through a project.
Matt, don’t push the Boss!
Staying on topic after re-reading 3 times
I finally got a NS -8 “white face”! Yes. I still have to attach the included fixed pilots and clean her up a little. She’ll head up the NS coal drag to give all that steam labor a break!
Here she is! The new MTH Big Boy
