Our local Michael’s has a well proportioned gazebo now marked down 70%.
It doesn’t have any snow or Christmas decorations molded to it so it is ready to go in your town square.

Hadn’t heard of this company before, thanks James.
They have a huge collection: https://www.lemaxcollection.com/home
Can’t see what the (approximate) scale is for the figures (quite inexpensive!), so I just em’d them…
I just purchased these Lemax firemen. While I haven’t measured them yet they are often referred to on other sites as being about 1/32 scale. They are definitely smaller than Bachmann or LGB sized figures but they will work for the background scene for which they are intended.
I think they are around 1:28-1:30…
These band members
are listed at 2.68" high. Assume the base is 3/16, that means the figure, with hat, is around 2.49" tall. If you assume that a figure is 6’ tall, that means that 2.49x=72. X, in THIS case is about 28.22. Base thickness or scale figure height could change that a bit.
Edit: Mark beat me to the punch! Background scenery might look nice and they are inexpensive! Not sure if they’d last outside…

Yeah, but if they were our height Bruce, they’d be 1:24… Just sayin… (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
Their Halloween figures are fun, I should get a few for our October neighborhood train party.

Oh yeah I have been buying Lemax stuff from Michael’s for years, use it all over my layout. I find the figures/size/rubber scale to vary over their products, but what the heck, lots of fun finding things for the holiday layout.
Also try Sears, oddly enough, found a trove of discounted Lemax there a few years ago. One warning, it is way way too late for that at my local Michael’s now, their Lemax stuff gets ravaged before Thanksgiving!
Jerry
Jer, we’ll have to meet up for a pre-Halloween Micheal bust next year.
I just heard back from Lemax:
The Lemax Product Line as a whole does not have a standard “scale” as in the model railroad sense. Our buildings, figurines and accesories are of all shapes and sizes but we are able to provide you some estimates.
Lemax buildings are mainly in the 1/64 to 1/48 range. A rare few are scaled larger. They are closest in scale to O, O27, ON30 and S gauge trains.
Lemax Figurines tend to be about 60mm scale, which is closest in scale to G and Standard Gauge.
As I understand it from a quick web search, 60mm scale = 1/30. Not sure how that math works, but it confirms what y’all have said.
Just thinking though, if LGB is considered “rubber scale”, in view of “tend to be… about… closest to…”, maybe we should come up with another term – Flubber scale? Cliff,
If you want a Lemax Halloween gondola that I made …I have one that I haven’t run in years
The local hardware store used to sell those every year. But that was the only place I ever saw them. I had a few on the layout under the tree.
The only ones I still have are a horse drawn cart with xmas trees in it and a horse draw fire engine.
I like using the Lemax children as they are in scale just represent a smaller child!!

Nope no conflict there! Go for it Cliff!!! lol
Every once in awhile Lemax has a train station for Christmas.
I usually purchase it to use with a Christmas shelf display of only train stations.
I have about 35 stations now with about 10 of them Lemax.
The gazebo would be a background building for G Scale as it is about 1/32nd.
Throughout the year my local craft stores Michael’s,Hobby Lobby and Jo Ann’s will bring in buildings and figures.
Many of these are usable in the background.
Even John Allen used this scenery compression method when he modeled background trains and buildings that were about N scale.
Absolutely James!
I model by eye myself and it seems to have worked quite well for me. Lemax is right around 1:32 as stated but not all of their stuff is that way. However it is a great product for the price if one can unhang themselves from the scale and decide if it fits within their theme and how to use it that way. Basically model by eye !

lot’s of Lemax people on my indoor layout - witches, salesmen, old-time folks, kids, and others.
Most Lemax figures are Christmas/Holiday oriented, though there is the Halloween line, and small numbers dedicated to the 4th of July. Scale is fluid. Generally, the white (porcelain) figures are smaller.

Yep ,
They make a good product and work well with G scale. It’s all a matter of how you want to use “their” product and how “anal’ you want to be with the product offered”

If you are looking for amusement park rides close to 1:29 scale Lemax manufactures a number of rides under the Sight and Sounds name. I have an amusement park area on the layout of these rides and they look really good next to 1:24 scale buildings. They have a Carousel, Ferris Wheel, Boat Ride, Bumper Cars, Scrambler, etc.
