Hey gang, Thought I’d give y’all an update on the WCNG No7. I’ve finished the boiler assembly, witht he complete backhead and shot the paint to it. I use a krylon gray sandable primer, then overshoot it with Krylon flat black, which comes out really sort of a Semi Gloss. I got a darn good process for simulating smokebox texture, I found a product at Wal Mart called “Make it Suede” its a texture paint and comes in several colors including a very rusty, Burnt Sienna. After an application of the texture and allowing it to dry, I overshoot it with Sandble dark gray auto primer to give it a nice dull flat color.
