Make plans to attend the large scale train show in Chattanooga on Friday, October 10, and Saturday, October 11, 2014. It is the former Dalton, Georgia show promoted by David Roberts (he did the National Garden RR Convention several years back in Kansas City). It will be downtown Chattanooga at the Trade & Convention Center. The Georgia Garden RR Society will set up their layout, as well as other groups displaying. ALSO at Tennessee Valley Railroad on September 6 & 7, the Georgia Garden RR Society will set up an outdoor layout by the Grand Junction Depot, Come by and see us!
Dennis,
I’ll be at the TVRM Railfest.
I was there last year. Hung out with Chris Haon a bit.

How is the area for driving, parking, and sleeping ? This is closer for me than Georgia.
Sweet! Boy one more month later and I think this would be a big draw. A new large scale show is always great. We used to love the February show in Perry, Ga. The Florida guys thought it was too cold. They had to spend their train money on long pants and socks. But to the Midwest guys, it is/was going to warmth.

Will be at Railfest on Sunday 9:00 am -1:00 pm
My wife found a conflict with something we committed to do on Saturday.
Chris will be there for both days.
Dennis - I made all but the last show that was in Dalton, GA after AristoCraft quit doing the Perry, GA show. I plan to try to make the Chattanooga show, but may not be able to. For me, it is close to my mom’s house in Kodak, TN (Dolly country) so I could double up the trip.
Dale - It is not really any different than any other major venue holding an event. Get there early if you want good paring. Lodging and food are readily available. The Chattanooga Choo Choo is also not far and has lodging, you might look them up.
Ric - I never go to go to Perry, it closed just as I was entering LS. Many of the people in my club felt great loss when Perry closed. I hope the Chattanooga show will successfully replace both the Perry and Dalton shows.

Final touches are being placed on the locomotive as we write this announcement.
