Large Scale Central

Large format printing

I finally got my large format printer sorted out. Behold a 1:20 sized printout of two rooms in the Thurmond depot. A 1:20 figure next to it for comparison.

This should be good to print out full size building sides for mockups, car sides as templates, and maybe odd switch templates, too.

Great thing to have for sure. A possible source of income for LSC too, full size plans or templates for switches and trestle bents.

Bob,

How large is large? I have an Epson that is supposed to be 17x22 but will only do ~14x19.

24" roll paper, so, theoretically, I can print as long as I want to. I have the whole image of the Thurmond depot, I’m going to see if I can print out the whole front elevation.

Looks like the longest I can print is about 5 feet. Here’s the right half of the Thurmond depot. 1:20 figure and 1 foot ruler for size comparison

Nice printer!

I think it’ll come in handy building buildings and rolling stock.

Sweet!

Bob,

What software are you using to make your plots from?

Bob C.

Bob: I’m printing from Photoshop. Pretty straight forward once I get the image the right scale.
