L.R.R.R. Motor Bus #2 With Thanks to Mista B

L.R.R.R. Motor Bus #2 With Thanks to Mista B

Here is the back story. Last year I was thrilled to be acknowledged for my build of “The Fish Camp Store” in the 2014 Mik’s Challenge.

Mr Ralph Berg, AKA Mista B, sent me a surprise basher’s gift………a stripped down Bachmann model of a RGS work truck sans electrical components and stake bed as a prize. It was a great present!! Again thank you Mista B.

The Little River R R Shops has been hard at work to build Rail Bus #2 to transport passengers in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains. Recently completed the crew stopped for builder’s photos. Electrical components are being installed and the Bus will be battery powered. Hope to have it running soon for an early Spring Test ride.

Thanks for looking. Doc Tom

Nice job, Tom. Those things are great for bashin…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

The bashed rail bus was weathered and went out in the weather on the layout. Looks like it is ready to deliver the mail to all the logging camps on the line.

Nice Job!

That truck originally ran on the NBRR back at the old house-RCS/Batteryl (yes, I gutted it) Nice to see it still running along (I also did the ‘procedure’ for the drive-train) shoulda bought me another when TW had them so cheap!

Cale TW has them for $89.99, not as cheap as they once were, but still affordable.

Nice job!

Phoenix makes a great sounding Goose sound card for those things.

Thanks Guys. The video with the Goose sound card was also very nice. I will have to look into one of those.

Looking good Tom. It didn’t take long to emerge from the shops all new and sparkling clean to being well worn and weathered. I think you need to have a few words with your guys to take it easy on the equipment and give it a wash now and again. LOL

Nice job and video Ken.

A cheaper alternative to a Phoenix system could be a MyLocoSound card. The Diesel card has the option for a gas mechanical.

Nice mix of a Lil Big Hauler and a RGS Goose (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

Might have been a little heavy handed on this weathering job. This is supposed to be the loggers transport and moving the mail and not for the tourists. The MyLocoSound card seems interesting.
