L.A. Metrolink unveils new cab cars

Dang these are nice looking! Amtrak should buy these for their Surfliners, look a darn lot better than those cinderblock cabcars they use now. http://www.dailynews.com/news/ci_15011142?source=rss Full Story above

…grinning…

I’m not necessarily a big fan of modern stuff, but I gotta admit–it’s nice to see us finally getting back to the notion that trains can actually look good.

Those do look good.

I like that they look they took the snub nose of a Gennie and added it to a Superliner. Way more aerodynamic and effecient than the cinderblock cab ends they use today, and I’m sure that after Chatsworth the engineers would be a whole lot more secure in these cars.

Can you use “aerodynamic” and “Superliner” in the same sentence?

I so seldom know the answer to the hard questions. I felt so proud knowing the answer. Okay, that moments gone.

I personally like the cinder blocks or Cabbage units (if thats what your referring too) ...However the way these retailers are throwing around the Gennies might have to think about cuttin' one up. Actually want some of the Gennie parts for my cinderblock build.....Gears are always turning on Roosters end! :)
