I just got home from KU Med so I can get stuff packed up to take up there. I’m taking 2 of Doug’s (Bronson) coach kits and one of Phil’s 40 foot refer kits to work on.
Last fall we found out the she has a blood bacteria that only about 1 or 2 cases a year is found. They installed a PIC line in left arm and started her on IV antibiotics. In the middle of April the line clotted and found the clot was from just above her elbow to up past her shoulder. They took the PIC line out and installed a central line into her chest and was sent home after about 10 days. She was home for 6 days and the central line clotted. After a 14 day stay they sent her home again. 3 weeks ago she went to see her Cardiologist and found the clot in her chest was getting larger and admitted her to the hospital again . They have went in 4 times and put stints in and a jet of some kind. They have ran a lot of test for the clotting issue and still no answers. Doctors has warned us that as soon as they get the clotting solved that she will more than likely have to under go surgery to replace to a lot of the veins going to her heart.
